Can someone provide me a clue as to where the slip rings are on a the GT380 slip rings?

I meant on the alternator. Apparently they are on the face of the rotor. I have a Chilton repair manual and other GT's must have the slip rings on the rotor shaft because that was what was pictured and I was confused.

Evening / morning, have a look at the parts list on the following website part 6 or 7 is the rotor depending on which alternator you have, two carbon brushes parts 9 & 10 or 4 pick current up from the rotor, have recently had to change mine as the battery kept going flat when running with lights on had no problems since.

select year and model then alternator, denso or kokusan this will give you a parts drawing of both types of alternator & part numbers, good luck.
