Front Disc Brakes Empty Front Disc Brakes

my 1974 bike has front disc brakes, I changed the fluid this weekend.

What DOT rating do you use for the brake line? My service manual did not say, since the one I have is for a bike with drum brakes.

And remember, use only brake fluids from a factory sealed container. Old fluids may contains water. And remember to change the fluids on your bike after two years use.

Thanks,

I ended up using DOT 3 only because what that is what I picked up at the store. Here is a good article about the DOT ratings. DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 should all be okay for the GT bikes, but DOT 5 is silicone based. Don't use that.
