Malt Vinegar?

Hey Guys, I seem to remeber a link showing the effects of malt vinegar on rust and corossion from the old site. What is the link for that?

Thanks Clive. Im going to try it on the ( I don't know what its called) pipe to engine connections that screw onto the pipes. They are the only really badly rusted part on the bike.

You mean the exhaust collars perhaps - I'm gonna get mine blasted and chromed in the future (job no 327 on my list... )

Most likely thats what I mean. Were they chrome originally, or were they the engine metal? I guess parts of mine might have looked chrome. I'm not sure they were so badly rusted. Whatever the case, They are going to look much better today after I brush off all the rust. I also just installed my starter motor that I ordered, And completed the making of my clutch cover gasket thanks to the use of my engineering teacher's laser. I hope to have it all reassembled by tomorrow. Unfortunatley its supposed to be in the 40's and 50's this weekend. I guess Ill just have to man up. . .

I cleaned mine up with a wire wheel and they polished up quite nice after although you do have to keep em cleaned and I guess rust will set in if damp or wet. I read that they should be chrome. Depends how far you want to go with them. Bright zinc looks nice.
