Glitter badges
Hi
I wasnt sure about the new forum / old forum set up so Ive posted this twice.
I'm just finishing my winter rebuild and cant decide which side panel badges to use.
I have the glitter type and the plain orangy red, both sets are NOS.
The tank and panels are that cherry red metallicy colour, dont know its proper name, I bought them newly painted off ebay and they look absolutely fabulous.
Ive tried both types of badge and I'm disappointed to say the overall effect of the plain red looks a little better than the glittery orange against the background colour.
Does anyone know categorically what the story is between the glittery and plain colours.
Was there a point in time when they changed over or something?
As I'm so indecisive about it, I might as well do the Anorak thing and go for correctness.
My bike is an A model.

Re: Glitter badges
I believe they were only ever glittery from the factory, my "B" had glittery original badges, but they were pretty trashed and had to be replaced - it seems that the NOS ones always come as plain red....
I have some orange flake that I'm gonna experiment with.
