Thanks - I was beginning to think I was alone here !!

I have been discussing with Koyo about the discontinued crankshaft bearing used on the GT550 - their part number 83563-9C3 and Suzuki part number 09269-25010. They have sent me a PDF file which can be downloaded here, and which has some data about what makes it special. Basically it is a C3 fit, and as per Koyo is just a standard 6305 bearing with two modifications - the addition of a rolled steel locator pin, and also the addition of a collar. I now have a quote from Koyo about supplying this bearing. Of course there is one small snag - I'd have to buy 80 of them ! Shocked

Any thoughts from anyone how much demand for this bearing there would be amongst the GT550 community ?

hmmmm, probably slim. Surprised

Unless you wanna trickle them onto eBay? I had a similar issue with small end bearings for my GT - struck lucky in the end, but thought I may have to do something similar from a bearing manufacturer....

well soc is members only now,how many more clubs do i need to join ? as it's credit crunch time as well,i did enjoy contact with the classic side of the forum but that's all, mostly for newer suzu's in my opinion, maybe this site will get a bigger following it deserves as we all love our GT's.
